Event photography and specifically wedding photography should be about capturing the moments from your special day. Hiring a photographer does not need to come with the headache of wondering what the final cost is going to be after your proof selection book and parent books, then how many photos will you really want to get prints of, how much is that going to cost, what about your family and friends and the separate pricing for all of them. I take these worries away by providing you with all the photos on disc with full personal use print releases so that you can get the prints of the images that you want.
The photos in your album are the ones that best represent your day because you got to choose the photos to use in the book and had it made from the printers that you wanted because you’re not restricted by the photographer and the products that he/she offers. These theories of doing what you want with images you want applies to any event, be it a wedding, a birthday, a family reunion, a company picnic or any celebration or gathering of people.
Some wedding photographers charge an exuberant amount of money to photograph your wedding or event. They present you with select images in a proof book that cost even more money. I provide you with a full day of coverage starting early in the morning and continuing into the evening until the end of the event. You get all of the usable images color corrected print ready full size images on disc with personal print releases that allow you to not only get prints of the photos that you want, but also allow your family and friends to get the prints that they want without having to worry about going through me. If all that seems like too much of a hassle I can set up a web site gallery for your guests to view and order value priced prints directly through me.
This is my standard event coverage fee, from the moment the first person starts to get ready throughout the entire ceremony, a break with creative portraits between the ceremony and reception and continuous coverage until the end of the reception.
During this creative portraiture session we get to know each other while creating some wonderfully unique and interesting engagement photos. Becoming comfortable with each other, me as a photographer and you being subjects, is important and sets the stage for a seamless day for your wedding.
I will setup a fully functional web gallery where guests from your event and others who weren’t able to make it can go to view all the images that you get on your disc. Guests can order prints directly through me. I pass on the cost savings from the printers to your guests so they can get value priced photos to remember your special occasion.
Even with trying to make my wedding and event package as simple and generic as possible I realize that every event has a special need or request and the prices are more guidelines for setting expectations than set in stone requirements.
